The SARLink is a dual mode device that combines the alerting, tracking, and two-way data communications of the Iridium® Network with the emergency locator services of the Cospas-Sarsat 406 MHz system.
As the first hand-held device that combines the global services of the Iridium® Short Burst Data (SBD), and Cospas-Sarsat 406 MHz networks, SARLink offers unprecedented capability within a single hand-held unit. The Iridium based features meet the requirements for Friendly and Blue Force Tracking, as well as two-way messaging services for command and control (C2). The 406 MHz Locator Beacon leverages the proven reliability of the Cospas-Sarsat Search and Rescue network used for personnel recovery operations worldwide.
IP67 rated (Protected from total dust ingress; Protected from immersion up to 1m in depth).
Additional environmental testing includes drop, vibration, bump, corrosion, and thermal shock.
Combines the ultra-low power consumption of the SHOUT ts with the PLB-375 Cospas-Sarsat 406 MHz beacon.
Incorporates two dedicated batteries; a rechargeable Lithium Ion for Iridium tracking, texting, and distress messaging, and a dedicated Lithium battery for the 406 MHz locator beacon (Compliant with Cospas-Sarsat standards).
In the event that the Iridium battery is depleted, the dedicated 406 MHz battery will provide an independent, 24 hours of distress messaging.
